Churned mint chocolate, among other things.

I am pleased to tick another finish off the list. This quilt is made from blocks collected over a twelve month period in the six and twelve inch block swaps of QBSA. It reminds me of mint slice biscuits which is how I named it.

I have also started playing along in Lori Holts new Farm girl vintage quilt along. The official start in this coming Friday but I have been having some fun with practice blocks.

First I made a table runner which I have called pumpkin in a barn. Pretty original name lol.

Then I wanted to try a few other blocks so I made cherries, pears and a strawberry and turned them into a cute cushion.

It's nice to get a couple more projects finished. It's been pretty cold and Wintery here, but every now and then there is a spot of sunshine.

I have also picked up,a crochet hook, it's been years since I have crocheted anything, let's see where this journey takes me.

Hello autumn.

My favourite season, I love the chill in the air in the evenings, the blue sunny skies and the cooler nights for sleeping, the falling leaves and Easter.

Cooler nights means more sewing time, well for me any how. I love to be snuggled up sewing or knitting while I can hear the rain on my tin roof.

Sewing update has seen me tick off a huge finish. the girls day out quilt. This was started in January 2013, and the flimsy was finished in October 2013. Since then it's sat in the cupboard as a UFO. I have broken my promise to myself not to start any new quilts this year, taking on the new Farm girl vintage quilt by Lori Holt. I am co hosting a stitch along of this quilt with my dear friend Vicki Tuchek.

So I had to get a big finish done before I could start a new one without guilt. And here it is.

I have also completed another custom order, a pretty pink owl quilt for a friend at work who wanted to gift this to one of her friends who had a baby girl.

My quilting group Quilting block swaps Australia has just turned five, how time flies. So most of this weekend has been arranging give aways for the birthday celebrations.

My other new start this year is snapshots quilt, I have made the first three blocks, this is an online monthly free BOM designed by Bonnie and Camille. It started in January, hand I have finally caught up.

My Ballarat Grandies visited for a few days over Easter, here is a cute pic of twins Paige and Conner (4) with big brother Mitchell (5) visiting their cousin Willow. My house was in chaos, it's lovely to see them, but it's nice when you have the house back to yourself.
