A fresh start

Its been over a year since I have blogged, life is like that.....

I have recently undergone knee replacement surgery and the eight weeks of work has given me plenty of time to reflect and change my energy into a slightly different direction.

For those of you that know me, you would know that I have been heading great guns with my quilt and pattern designs so I am revamping my blog to show case my own designs and share my patterns with you.

I will also share other quilts I make along the way, as its always nice to see what we are all doing.

I plan to keep my blog simple and uncomplicated and fresh..... so welcome your ideas and what you like or dont like.

So here I am, back in blog land.  My first pattern share is my delicious dachshund pattern.  This was my second ever quilt design and has been my most popular by far.  I first designed this in 2014 and other than this version shown which was for Homespun magazine I had not made it again.... until recently that is.

I decided it was about time to remake the quilt, I chose another range of Bonnie and Camille fabrics with bolder colours such as dark blue and red.  Its always interesting to see how different the same quilt can look in a different colour palette.  For this version I also added on a border to make the quilt slightly larger.  This version was completed in January 2017.

This pattern is available for purchase from my Etsy store if anyone is interested in making their own version of it... If you do please share it with me, I love to see what others create with my designs.
